The Michelle McGann Fund, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization supporting children and families affected by a type 1 diabetes diagnosis, today announced a Campership Grant to Diabetes Dayton, an agency of LifeCare Alliance, for its Camp Ko-Man-She program.
The 2026 grant fully covered camperships for twenty-four (24) children with type 1 diabetes to attend Camp Ko-Man-She’s 2026 session at YMCA Camp Willson, just outside Bellefontaine, Ohio. Now in its seventh decade, the camp partners with Dayton Children’s Medical Center to provide round-the-clock care from doctors, nurses, and registered dietitians, alongside traditional camp activities like swimming, hiking, archery, and horseback riding.
“Camp Ko-Man-She has been giving kids with diabetes a place to just be kids for over sixty years,” said Michelle McGann, Founder of the Michelle McGann Fund. “We’re proud to help more campers experience that this year.”

About The Michelle McGann Fund
The Michelle McGann Fund’s mission is to empower families with the support and education they need to ensure a healthy today and tomorrow for their child living with type 1 diabetes. The organization was founded by professional golfer Michelle McGann, an eight-time winner on the LPGA Tour who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 13. Drawing on her own experience managing diabetes at the highest levels of competitive sport, Michelle created the Fund to help other children and families facing a new diagnosis. Through grants like this one, the Fund supports camperships and education for young people affected by type 1 diabetes.
