16 Sep The Michelle McGann Fund Announces Campership Grant to Camp Sweet Life

The Michelle McGann Fund, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization supporting children and families affected by a type 1 diabetes diagnosis, today announced a Campership Grant to Camp Sweet Life, Minnesota’s only specialized camping experience for children with type 1 diabetes.

The 2026 grant fully covered camperships for twelve (12) children with type 1 diabetes to attend Camp Sweet Life’s 2026 session in Madison Lake, Minnesota. The camp gives kids with type 1 diabetes a chance to connect with peers who share their diagnosis, learn to manage their diabetes with more confidence, and build lifelong friendships, all under the care of a dedicated medical and counseling team.

“Kids with type 1 diabetes shouldn’t have to choose between a real camp experience and the medical care they need — Camp Sweet Life gives them both,” said Michelle McGann, Founder of the Michelle McGann Fund. “We’re glad to help more families in Minnesota say yes to that week.”
