03 Sep The Michelle McGann Fund Announces Campership Grant to Camp Kudzu

The Michelle McGann Fund, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization supporting children and families affected by a type 1 diabetes diagnosis, today announced a Campership Grant to Camp Kudzu, a nonprofit organization serving children and teens living with type 1 diabetes across Georgia.

The 2026 grant fully covered camperships for eight (8) children with type 1 diabetes to attend Camp Kudzu’s 2026 overnight summer camp programming. Each cabin at Camp Kudzu is led by counselors and paired with a dedicated clinician who oversees campers’ medical needs for the week, giving kids a chance to build independence in managing their diabetes alongside peers who understand what they’re going through.

“Camp Kudzu gives children living with type 1 diabetes the chance to feel confident and understood,” said Michelle McGann, Founder of the Michelle McGann Fund. “That sense of belonging can be life changing, and we’re honored to help make it possible for more campers this year.”
