The Michelle McGann Fund Announced Campership Grant to Camp Kudzu
The Michelle McGann Fund announced a 2025 campership grant awarded to Camp Kudzu, a nonprofit organization serving children and adolescents living with type 1 diabetes. The grant supported Camp Kudzu’s summer 2025 programming and helped reduce financial barriers for participating families.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Camp Kudzu operated camp programs throughout Georgia and was sponsored by Camp Kudzu, Inc. Through medical support, education, and traditional camp activities, Camp Kudzu provided a safe and empowering environment for campers.
“Camp Kudzu gives children living with type 1 diabetes the chance to feel confident and understood,” said Michelle McGann, Founder of the Michelle McGann Fund. “That sense of belonging can be life changing.”
The 2025 campership grant supported five (5) campers during summer 2025.

About The Michelle McGann Fund
The Michelle McGann Fund’s mission is to empower families with the support and education they need to ensure a healthy today and tomorrow for their child living with type 1 diabetes. The organization was founded by professional golfer Michelle McGann, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at thirteen years old.
Having navigated the challenges of managing an active lifestyle alongside diabetes, Michelle created The Michelle McGann Fund to help others facing similar struggles. Through generous donations and grants, the Fund supported healthcare programs, facilities, and individuals impacted by type 1 diabetes. The Fund directly provided education and financial support for children newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and their families.
Michelle McGann is an eight-time winner on the LPGA Tour and one of the most recognized figures in women’s professional golf. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 13, Michelle has been a longtime advocate for diabetes research, education, and awareness. Drawing from her own experience managing diabetes while competing at the highest levels of sport, she founded The Michelle McGann Fund to support children and families facing a new diabetes diagnosis.
