The Michelle McGann Fund Announced Campership Grant to Panther Day Camp
The Michelle McGann Fund announced a 2025 campership grant awarded to Panther Day Camp, a community-based day camp serving children in a supportive and inclusive environment. The grant supported Panther Day Camp’s summer 2025 programming and helped reduce financial barriers for participating families.
Located in the Puget Sound region of Washington, Panther Day Camp provided campers with a summer experience focused on friendship, confidence building, and personal growth through age-appropriate activities and outdoor play.
“Camp experiences like Panther Day Camp create a sense of belonging and confidence that children carry with them well beyond the summer,” said Michelle McGann, Founder of the Michelle McGann Fund. “We are proud to support programs that offer children meaningful, joyful experiences in their own communities.”
The 2025 campership grant supported 8 campers during summer 2025, helping families offset the cost of attendance and ensuring campers were able to fully participate in the camp experience.

About The Michelle McGann Fund
The Michelle McGann Fund’s mission is to empower families with the support and education they need to ensure a healthy today and tomorrow for their child living with type 1 diabetes. The organization was founded by professional golfer Michelle McGann, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at thirteen years old.
Having navigated the challenges of managing an active lifestyle alongside diabetes, Michelle created The Michelle McGann Fund to help others facing similar struggles. Through generous donations and grants, the Fund supported healthcare programs, facilities, and individuals impacted by type 1 diabetes. The Fund directly provided education and financial support for children newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and their families.
Michelle McGann is an eight-time winner on the LPGA Tour and one of the most recognized figures in women’s professional golf. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 13, Michelle has been a longtime advocate for diabetes research, education, and awareness. Drawing from her own experience managing diabetes while competing at the highest levels of sport, she founded The Michelle McGann Fund to support children and families facing a new diabetes diagnosis.
